Dalam ajang ini Lady Gaga berhasil bawa pulang piala terbanyak. Ia memenangkan lima piala Moon Man, termasuk kategori MTV Tricon Award untuk pertama kalinya. Kelima juara tersebut berasal dari sembilan nominasinya bersama Ariana Grande.

BTS pun menyusul dengan empat piala Moon Man. Boyband ini memenangkan Best Group, Best K-Pop, Best Pop, dan Best Choreography.
